Demo MLM · A walkthrough with real-world math · About 6 minutes

The $160,000 slide, and the math nobody shows you.

Every opportunity meeting shows the ideal. This page shows what really happens to the people you sign up, what it would take to reach that ideal, and where a real system changes the numbers.

Demo MLM isn’t a real company. It’s a made-up one with simple, round numbers, so we can look at the math without arguing about anybody’s comp plan. Swap in your own company’s numbers in your head as we go. The shape of the story doesn’t change.

Chapter 1

The ideal math

Here’s the one rule of Demo MLM: every person on your team who reaches distributor level and stays active is worth $1,600 a year to you.

That’s a generous number. Industry figures often put the average yearly payout to an active distributor somewhere around $1,600 to $2,400, and an FTC analysis found most people in these businesses earn $1,000 a year or less. But let’s be generous and use it.

100distributors, full throttle× $1,600a year each$160,000a year

That’s the slide. A hundred people at distributor level, all running full throttle, and you clear $160,000 a year. It’s not a lie. It’s the ideal. The question nobody answers at the meeting is how many people you have to sign up to get a hundred like that.

Chapter 2

What happens to every 100 people you sign up

Here’s what your upline never tells you. Out of every 100 people you sign up:

So out of 100 sign-ups, about 10 ever reach distributor level. In Demo MLM, that’s $16,000 a year, not $160,000.

Chapter 3

What it really takes

If only about 1 in 10 sign-ups reaches distributor level, then a hundred distributors means about

1,000 sign-ups.

A thousand people you found, chased, followed up with, and enrolled. Now run it at your own pace.

Demo MLM is a made-up company. This is a calculator, not a promise: it shows the math, not what’s typical. It assumes everyone who reaches distributor level stays active, which is the generous case.

That’s why so many good people quit. Not because they’re lazy. Because the chase only pays at the very end, and the end is years away.

Chapter 4

Where the Growth System changes the math

Life isn’t the ideal situation. You make it ideal by having the right system in place to get you there quicker. That’s what the Mirrorline Growth System is for. It changes three things:

Here’s the same Demo MLM math with the Growth System running. Same sign-ups, same people, different result.

The same year, two ways

The chase

Up front
$0
Residual (year 1)
$7,680
First year
$7,680

With the Growth System

Up front
$48,000
Residual (year 1)
$7,680
First year
$55,680

Uses the Demo MLM numbers above (1 in 10 reach distributor level, $1,600 a year each), and the same number of sign-ups both ways, so you can see the difference the up-front payment makes on its own. Any extra sign-ups or people who stay longer would be on top of that. This is a calculator, not a promise, and only applies where your company allows you to sell tools and training to your team. Check its policies first.

Notice what changed. Not your effort. Not your people. The structure. The chase only pays you for the 10 who make it. A system pays you for all 100, and gives the other 90 a better shot at becoming the 10.

Here’s what to do next

Two steps.

First, get the playbook. The Obsidian Technique, Network Marketing Edition, is what to do the moment prospects start coming to you: how to answer them in minutes, sort the customers from the builders, walk them to a yes, and keep them from quitting in the first two weeks. It’s $47, and the Obsidian Scorecard team pack comes with it.

Then, we talk. Your purchase unlocks a free one-on-one strategy call with me. We’ll run your real numbers, not Demo MLM’s, and map what your Growth System would look like. If it isn’t a fit, I’ll tell you.

Demo MLM is a fictional company used for illustration. Its numbers are simplified examples, not data from any real company, and the calculators on this page are illustrations, not typical results or a guarantee of income. Most people who start any business earn little or nothing. Results depend on many factors, including your effort, experience, market and your company’s compensation plan and policies.
